A 21-year-old woman, identified as Leah Anderson, was found shot in the head at a residence on Mad River Road in Thornton, New Hampshire, on Monday morning. Law enforcement received a call concerning the incident shortly before 9 a.m. According to officials, Anderson was transported to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
Residents in the vicinity reported that they did not notice any unusual activity prior to the police arrival. One neighbor described the individuals living at the home as amiable and expressed concern for their well-being following the incident.
Anderson was a student at Plymouth State University, focusing her studies on elementary education and youth development. An autopsy has been scheduled to clarify the cause and manner of her death.
