Attorney General’s Office Seeks Fresh Leads in 42-Year-Old Concord Disappearance

The renewed appeal comes as the Attorney General’s Office continues to gather additional information in long-running unsolved cases.

New Hampshire authorities are again asking the public to come forward with information in a disappearance that has remained unsolved for 42 years.

The case involves Shirley Ann Tippy McBride, who was 15 when she vanished from Concord on July 13, 1984. According to investigators, she was last known to have left her sister’s apartment on Union Street and was never located afterward.

Officials have said McBride appeared to leave behind her money, clothing, and other personal belongings, a detail that has contributed to their belief that foul play may have played a role. The New Hampshire Cold Case Unit and Concord police are still reviewing leads and hoping new tips will help move the investigation forward.
