Leedberg-Snow Sentenced in Cheshire County Fraud and Estate Theft Case

Under the negotiated outcome, Leedberg-Snow admitted to multiple felony counts.

Wendy Leedberg-Snow, 60, of Nashua, New Hampshire, has been sentenced in Cheshire County Superior Court following a guilty plea in a case tied to a falsified marriage certificate and the taking of property from her late partner’s estate, Attorney General John M. Formella announced.

Under the negotiated outcome, Leedberg-Snow admitted to felony counts of Solicitation to Commit Vital Records Fraud, Title Fraud, Theft by Misapplication of Property, and Witness Tampering. The court ordered her to serve seven days in the House of Corrections, pay $4,600 in restitution to the victim’s trust, and return a pickup truck and trailer that belonged to the estate. She will also be on probation for two years after release. If she violates the conditions of her sentence or fails to maintain good behavior, she could face a suspended prison term of 3 ½ to 7 years in the New Hampshire State Prison.

Investigators determined that after Eric Leedberg died in October 2023, Leedberg-Snow took part in producing a false marriage certificate that incorrectly claimed the couple had been legally married before his death. Authorities say that document was then used to support her effort to obtain estate property. The inquiry also found that she tried to pressure a witness connected to the forged certificate.

The case also involved former Winchester Town Clerk Jim Tetreault, who earlier pleaded guilty to Notarial Misconduct for helping falsify the marriage certificate. He was sentenced in April 2025 and later stepped down from his role as a Justice of the Peace.

Assistant Attorney General Nancy A. DeAngelis prosecuted the case, and Jennifer L. DiGeorge of the Elder Abuse and Financial Exploitation Unit conducted the investigation.
