Lil Wayne did not appear on schedule and did not begin performing until shortly before 11 p.m.
Social media posts from people who attended Friday night’s show at the BankNH Pavilion in Gilford say Lil Wayne did not appear on schedule and did not begin performing until shortly before 11 p.m., more than two hours after the expected start.
Several concertgoers said in the Laconia is Really Talking Facebook group that they left before the rapper came on stage and never saw him perform. Those who stayed said the show ran past Gilford’s 11 p.m. curfew.
Lil Wayne later posted a video to Instagram about the concert, though he did not address the delay. In the post, he expressed excitement about the New Hampshire crowd and said they had worn him out during the show.
Comments on the Instagram post included complaints from fans about the long wait.
The Friday appearance came after Lil Wayne missed a concert earlier this week in Bangor, Maine, and later apologized for that absence.
