Police say Whitefield shooting left one family member dead and four others injured

Police believe 29-yerar-old Eric Blake Jr. shot several relatives at a home in the Hilltop Manor neighborhood before taking his own life.

New Hampshire authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in Whitefield that they say involved members of the same family. Police believe Eric Blake Jr., 29, shot several relatives at a home in the Hilltop Manor neighborhood before taking his own life.

Troopers were called to the residence just before 1 a.m. Tuesday after a report of a vehicle being driven erratically. Once inside, officers discovered three people with gunshot wounds: Amy Blake, 59, along with her sons Michael Marro, 41, and Eric Blake Jr., 29.

Eric Blake Jr. later died at the hospital. Investigators also said his father, Eric Blake Sr., 53, had a gunshot wound and managed to drive himself to the hospital, where he told authorities about what had happened.
