Authorities had not released the extent of the injuries as of Wednesday.
A Wednesday afternoon collision on Route 9 near Staver Road sent two people to medical care and involved three vehicles, one of them pulling a trailer.
Emergency responders were called to the scene at about 4:28 p.m. Brattleboro firefighters found one person pinned inside a vehicle and carried out an extrication using the department’s Jaws of Life.
Because of the severity of the situation, DHART was asked to send a medical helicopter, and crews set up a landing area at the Marlboro Town Garage. A second helicopter was also requested before that need was canceled. The person removed from the vehicle was then flown from the Marlboro Town Garage for additional treatment, while another injured person was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
Authorities had not released the extent of the injuries as of Wednesday. Vermont State Police are investigating what led to the crash.
